A Case of Incontinentia Pigmenti

Abstract

|
A case of incontinentia pigmenti is briefly described and the literature pertaining to the cutaneous lesions in more than one generation is briefly reviewed by genetically.
The patient was 2 months old female, who had a diffuse erythema, vesiculation, verrucous lesions, and peculiar pigmentation on the whole body surface since birth. And her mother also had a eczematous lesions, and pigmentation in her infancy and childhood.
A family tree herein reported in which all the female members for two generations displaced the cutaneous lesions of incontinentia pigmenti.
This case tend to support the sex-limited mode of inheritance.
